KSU English Professor Dr. H. William Rice wins 2015 Georgia Author of the Year Award for Short Stories.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to announce that Dr. H. William Rice has won the 2015 Georgia Author of the Year Award for Short Stories. His award was for "The Lost Woods: Stories" (University of South Carolina Press), a collection of linked stories that follow the lives of two families who own farms and hunt in rural South Carolina.

 

About GAYA

The Georgia Writers Association recognizes Georgia's authors of excellence by presenting the Georgia Author of the Year Awards (GAYA) Ceremony. The GAYA ceremony has the distinction of being the oldest literary awards ceremony in the Southeastern United States while reflecting the current publishing world.
